Meet Baby...Emily?

I forgot to mention in my last post that we found out we are having another girl! We are very excited about it, even little Richie. He has actually been requesting a baby named Emily for a while, and the name is growing on us, so that may be her name. It was actually really hard to tell if she was a girl or not, because she was being very camera shy and VERY modest. Her foot was blocking her important anatomy, but she finally gave us a glimpse right at the end of the ultrasound. Her development all looks great. Her brain and heart and other major organs all look like they should, which is a huge relief.

This is the best shot we could get of the little one. The morning after we found out we are having a girl, little Richie said, "Mom, I bet Emily, uhm, I mean, the baby girl in your tummy is going to be so cute." I agreed with him, because he and Sophia are so cute, too.

I am sorry I have been MIA lately. We are finally all back together and living in Logan in a cute little house. It is taking forever to unpack, I just don't have my normal amount of energy being pregnant, but it is coming together. We don't have internet at home so we go to Border's book store to check our e mail and pay bills, etc. So I don't have any pictures to post, but hopefully I can soon. We are really happy to be in Logan and to be with Daddy again!

Recent Pictures

Richie worked on this picture of a crocodile for about an hour the other day. While he was working on it he said, "I am an artist boy!" And a little later he said, "Part of being an artist is getting messy." He did not get messy (although that usually is part of being an artist), and he is definitely a talented artist boy. He is always amazing me. Sophia was drawing at the same time (she always wants to do whatever Richie is doing). When I asked Richie to pose with his picture, she ran to get her picture and wanted me to take her picture, too.
The kids are enjoying spending time with grandparents.
Richie has discovered the joys of Candyland and Chutes & Ladders thanks to Grandma. The other day Grandpa was nice enough to play with him. Sophia and Grandma like to snuggle and watch nursery rhymes and The Wiggles on the iPod. On Sundays church goes right through Sophia's nap, so she usually ends up falling asleep at around 4 or 5. We were sitting together wat…

Excuses, excuses.

Since coming home from visiting grandparents in Idaho, Sophia has been climbing into bed with me every night between 2 and 4 a.m. The other day I told her she needs to sleep in her bed all night and she said to me, "I wake up because I miss you."
She is only two and already a master manipulator.
