Sophia had mixed feelings about starting primary. We tried to prepare her for it by telling her how much fun it was and that she was going to be a big girl. I think she was kind of excited to go but ultimately she didn't like the idea of not going to nursery any more. That transition from nursery to sunbeam is pretty hard. The first Sunday went pretty well. She went into the primary room without any complaints or sadness. The next Sunday wasn't as smooth, when I tried telling her that Jesus wants her for a sunbeam she yelled, "I don't want to be a sunbeam!" And it has been hard each week since, If I linger for too long she clings to me and cries that she wants me to stay. But she is always cheerful when it is time to go home and she says she had a good time, so it will get easier as time goes on. I am sure my little Sophia is a handful for her teacher, but how can you not love all her spunk?
I took these pictures on her first day of primary. She is such a poser!
Sometimes they are so sweet together.
